I woke up this morning at 11am and looked out the window to see.... well..... WHITE.
Just white. Eastern Coast Snowstorm it is.
What a way to start the day, besides the fact I couldn't fall asleep until 8am. So with my 4hours of sleep, I go on the computer to find my worst fears realized:
NooOOooOOooo! With 2007 saying adios very soon (with personally mixed reviews, btw), this is the worst way to say goodbye, and yet, gives closure to both a great and balancingly awful year (see previous post, if finally completed and released).
For the record, I had a thing for Jessica since Flipper. Yeah that's right Flipper, when NO ONE knew her, and I almost went to see her on the Dini Petty show, where she said she'd be at Eaton Centre to shop after (and almost went there too!) and check out boys.
Oh Jessica, what have you done?!?!
Who am I kidding, I'll still give you a chance with or without a kid in tow! =)
Happy Holidays people!
It's been a while since I posted. Mostly because I've been busy doing things like designing, running my company, basketball, LIFE, and well.... Halo 3.
I'm such a nerd.
I haven't been a gamer since my teens... And while I have played games inbetween since then (mostly NBA Live and the entire 2K series), I haven't really been bitten by the bug.... until Halo 3... on Xbox Live.
While I hear that Halo 2 was better than 3, but Halo 3 from my view is FUN.
I didn't have an Xbox Live account before.
I got one.
I didn't use that Britney-on-stage Microphone thingy.
I do now.
I never thought I'd order new maps for a game.
I just did. (They came out 2am PST on Dec. 11. Which I waited up for!)
What's happened to me?!?! Oh well. Sometimes you have to accept your own futility.
It's part of the plan though. With Christmas coming fast around the corner, I've been trying to save money by not going out (which if you read my posts before, was a BIG problem for me), which adds up quick time to big $$$.
But Halo 3 (on Xbox Live) is my new addiction, and I wholeheartedly embrace it. Until I get bored, or start VETO'ing things non-halo related.
Would you like fries with that sir?
VETO-VETO-VETO-VETO-VETO!
Halo 3, what have you done to me?!?
Happy Holidays peeps!
Wow.
As I stop to reflect upon what was 2007... I cannot help but smile.
It is a smile that, underneath the surface, cannot even come close to depicting an emotion that 2007 lead up to, and ultimately became, and surpassed what it was hyped up to be (in my mind). For as long as it seems, a new year lived up to the expectation, and more as I would come to understand.
If you read my past posts, 2007 was the year to get me out of my funk. I had registered to finish my FINAL class of college, finally graduated, registered for a business incubation program, and ultimately learned what I needed to run my own business. That all happened in the first half of 2007, culminating with my graduation in July. I was on cloud nine.
I was finally catching a break. I was finally pushing past my demons and it looked like things were finally starting to shine.
Balance. When one side has equal weight to the other.
I was so naive to think that things would just skyrocket into the stratosphere and never stop. Life just can't continue at such a positive, uplifting pace, can it? There has to be something to counter it, to create balance.
Balance. Why did you have to rear your ugly head?
It came out of nowhere. It's like when you are at the top of your game, and and get hit and fall, you can fall that much further than you are used to. And I did. I fell and hit the ground like I was twice as high, twice as hurt.
Balance. Why are the lessons you teach the kinds that can change your life?
They say what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.
I'm ready. Let's do this. You thought 2007 was it? This is only the beginning!
2008? Bring it on.
Nothing will stop me.
